Temple of the dog - hunger strike
Well I don't mind stealing bread
From the mouths of decadents
But I can't feed on the powerless
When my cup's already overfilled
Yeah
But it's on the table
The fire's cooking
And they're farming babies
The slaves are all working
Blood is on the table
The mouths are all choking
But I'm goin' hungry
Yeah
I don't mind stealing bread
From the mouths of decadents
But I can't feed on the powerless
When my cup's already overfilled
But it's on the table
The fire is cooking
And they're farming babies
The slaves are all working
And it's on the table
Their mouths are all choking
But I'm going hungry (Going hungry)
I'm going hungry (Going hungry)
I'm going hungry (Going hungry)

arundhati roy- we (2006)
We is a fast-paced 64 minute documentary that covers the world politics of power, war, corporations, deception and exploitation.
It visualizes the words of Arundhati Roy, specifically her famous Come September speech, where she spoke on such things as the war on terror, corporate globalization, justice and the growing civil unrest.
It's witty, moving, alarming and quite a lesson in modern history.
We is almost in the style of a continuous music video. The music used sets the pace and serves as wonderful background for the words of Ms. Roy and images of humanity in the world we live all in today.
We is a completely free documentary, created and released anonymously on the internet.

The War Within: Escape the Temporal Illusory Holographic Matrix
The film The Matrix – the first of three – contained some fundamental truths that many around the planet instinctively responded to. The universe is indeed a temporal illusory holographic matrix made up of varying frequencies, waveforms pulsating at specific vibratory rates. Beneath the Veil, the ‘curtain of each atom’, there really is nothing out there but a vast ocean of etheric energy, the AKASHA, the silent unheard sound.
We are the ones we’ve been waiting for.
Rise, like lions after slumber
In unvanquishable number!
Shake your chains to earth like dew
Which in sleep had fallen on you:
Ye are many—they are few!

Migration Is Beautiful
Meet powerhouse artist/activist Favianna Rodgriguez -- a leading voice in the movement of artists raising awareness about U.S. immigration issues. Favianna is a co-founder of both Presente.org and Culture Strike, two groups pushing back against the wave of anti-immigrant rhetoric and legislation that has recently swept the nation.
In Part 1 Pulitzer Prize winning author Jose Antonio Vargas explains the ironies of anti-immigration hysteria in a country founded by immigrants. Favianna participates in a visual campaign using the Monarch Butterfly as a symbol of the beauty and dignity of migrants.
In Part 2 Favianna Rodriguez, Culture Strike and Sound Strike to the front lines of the immigration battle in Tucson, AZ. Local human rights lawyer Isabel Garcia illustrates how D.H.S. funnels migrants into the deadly Arizona desert. Activist Roberto Lovato reveals the truth about immigration crackdown and how it is big business for the prison industrial complex. Jasiri X, Invincible, Shining Soul and a group of artistic visionaries come together for a hip-hop/poetry cypher at the U.S./Mexico border before rocking crowds at a pro-migrant music and art jam.
In Part 3 Favianna Rodriguez and crew join the fearless riders of the Undocubus as they arrive in Charlotte, NC -- while the media spotlight shines on the 2012 Democratic National Convention. Artist Julio Salgado explains why the Undocubus activists are there to protest. Later, as the city sleeps, Favianna and a team of artists hit the streets on a clandestine postering mission. As the Undocubus riders plan a direct action protest, artist César Maxit explains the butterfly art he has created to help them express their messages. Favianna, Rosario Dawson and a large crowd join Undocubus riders as they stage their dramatic sit-in street blockade designed to send a message to the President before he accepts his nomination for a 2nd term.

manifesto titled Energy beyond Neoliberalism:
“This is a call for energy democracy. Not energy security or energy separation. A survivable and just energy future means breaking the grip of elite interests on our energy systems, ending dependency, increasing autonomy, building diverse power structures through which we can hold one another to account, and leaving fossil fuels in the ground. Energy democracy would put an end to fuel poverty and create conditions for economic democracy; and it would take power out of the hands of unaccountable elites. We are not limited to a single unitary model – a resilient energy future will be composed of diverse energy commons, solidarities and practices. We believe energy democracy can be realised by scaling up from decentralised, community-controlled renewable energy projects, and using the state’s institutions to pool and redistribute resources.” - See more at: http://platformlondon.org/p-publications/energy-beyond-neoliberalism/#sthash.ngWEs41C.dpuf
Exciting week for ending the licence to spill
Why do BP and Shell need cultural institutions (Tate, British Museum, National Portrait Gallery), consumer brands (Lego, Waitrose) and universities? The simple answer is so that the rest of us think we need them. As the Tate’s lawyer explained BP’s sponsorship, "if they didn’t think they were getting something out of it, they wouldn’t do it"
Methane hydrate destabilization a potential scenario
Methane distribution in the water column: Once released into the water column, methane is distributed by currents and aerobic methane oxidation by bacteria converts it to CO2.
In deeper water methane enriched layers often follows the same density gradients but in shallow waters methane from seeps might be released directly into the mixed layer and thus is effectively transported towards the sea surface. Here it equilibrates with the atmosphere and depending on temperature, salinity and wind forces is transported into the atmosphere as measurable flux. http://www.cost-pergamon.eu/HTML/wp3....
Hydrogen sulfide has been implicated in several mass extinctions that have occurred in the Earth's past. In particular, a buildup of hydrogen sulfide in the atmosphere may have caused the Permian-Triassic extinction event 252 million years ago. Organic residues from these extinction boundaries indicate that the oceans were anoxic (oxygen-depleted) and had species of shallow plankton that metabolized H2S. The formation of H2S may have been initiated by massive volcanic eruptions, which emitted carbon dioxide and methane into the atmosphere, which warmed the oceans, lowering their capacity to absorb oxygen that would otherwise oxidize H2S. The increased levels of hydrogen sulfide could have killed oxygen-generating plants as well as depleted the ozone layer, causing further stress. Small H2S blooms have been detected in modern times in the Dead Sea and in the Atlantic ocean off the coast of Namibia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hydroge...

how to protest correctly
Satirical comedy troupe A Rational Fear provide a handy guide to protesting in Victoria, where the law has been changed in order to make peaceful picketing much more difficult, as the friendly policeman in the film helpfully explains. And if you dirty hippies don't like it, what are you going to do?
